I have ripped a few DVD's and when playing the VCD back on a standalone unit the audio seems to skip every 5 seconds or so. I have tried playing the VCD on 5 players now and they all do the same. It will play alright on my computer though. any thoughts???

try switching media(cd-rw springs to mind) or burn at a slower speed. check the properties(resolution, bitrate) of the mpg while you're at it

Thanks Stan. I know for sure that the bit rate and resolution are correct. I havent as yet burnt at a lower speed. Im not sure if this will fix the problem though because it seems to be alright playing on my computer.
