Hi, I made a DVD with 2 movies on it, one is NTSC(23,97 FPS with 3:2 pull down when playback), and the other is PAL 25Fps, When I run the DVD, only the Ntsc movie plays ok, the Pal movie doesnīt play, or let me say, audio is ok, and the video out of order.
I have a Philips 625 that plays both movies Flawlessly. Is there any settings on the DVP 320 to enable the Pal reprodution on it??
Thanks...

It is generally a bad idea to mix NTSC and PAL on the same DVD.
Depending on how you did it (the authoring stage) it MIGHT work if your DVD player works with both formats but chances are you screwed up by putting them on the same DVD (i.e., same video title set for instance).
Don't do this in the future.
Also it's good NOT to mix different resolutions (even if all are NTSC or all are PAL) either unless they are on different title sets.
Even with different title sets I wouldn't mix NTSC and PAL on the same DVD.

Ok, but as I said, I have a Philips 625 that plays both movies perfectly.
I Converted two divx movies to DVD, and I can't choose How the guys encode them. But forget about mixing the systems. Imagine that I said it was a Pal DVD, is there a way to play it on Philips 320??
Other question, I know that Pal is 625 lines and NTSC is 525 lines, The divx movies I got was 25fps that is a PAL feature, but what about the lines?? My Tv is not PAL compatible, it's NTSC, so if the Divx movie is PAL, could it be PAL 525, does it exist?? Do the DVD player converts it to NTSC Output???
Thanks...
PS: I autored the DVD in DVD LAB PRO, in the same VTS. AND with the original resolution, I dint converted to 720x480 (Full D1)... -
DVD specs don't allow you to mix PAL and NTSC on the same disc. You are lucky that the Philips 625 played it at all. Burn them to separate DVDs and you will be able to play the PAL disc. I know this is not what you wanted to hear, but it's your only option.
PAL can support NTSC video, but I don't think there is anything like PAL 525. Many DVD players can convert PAL to NTSC. Most Philips DVD should be able to do this. -
Ok Man, I Am Glad with your answear. I really want to make a disck that would be the most compatible as possible. I really want to put more than a movie on a sincle disk, because the source is Xvid/divx, at maximum a the movie is 1.4GB, so why on earth would I convert it to DVD with a bitrate of 7Mbits??
In DVD Lab Pro, I could Make the movies on Different VTS shoul it be ok??
Other Question, The Ntsc Movie was a 23.97 FPS movie, I encoded it on TMPgenc with 3:2 pulldown in Playback. The movie watched on the TV is Strange, it doesnīt look Smooth, itīs as if the fields were on slight diferent vertical position, The 25FPS movie plays Flawlesslly..
Iīve been observing that effect on 23.97 movies, itīs normal???
thanks..
