I realize this isn't the exact forum to be asking this question, but I figured if anyone would know this, you folks would:
I simply want to stick a DVD in my PC's player and take a single high quality screenshot from a specific point in the movie. No atreaming audio or video, just a JPG/TIF/insert favorite image format here.

PowerDVD (a good software DVD proggy) allows to you capture still frames (to clipboard) from the DVD on playback. I presume other software DVD proggies have a similar function.
