  1. Can somebody please tell me how to change the default color in the my menus, when I hover over a button? Right now it seems to be a default purple color. I have looked at every drop-down option I could find, and read through the f1-Help topics, but can't for the life of me find the option to change the color.

To be clear, I am speaking of the color that the button changes to when you hover over it to select it. I have added frames to my buttons, so in my case, it is only the frame that changes color. But prior to adding the frames, the entire button changed color. In my case the buttons are pictures dragged from the movie preview screen.

I am using the trial version if that makes any difference.

    Thanks!

  2. You select Map in the right-hand properties window and you can change the color and its transparency there.

This is under Color Map in the help file. On line at http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/Helppro/colormap.htm , or look under Menu>Color Map in the help file.

  4. I appreciate your patience, but I did read this and I may just be missing the tree in the forest, but I can't find this option. I've looked in the MENU drop-down at top, and hovered over all the items in the properties window on the right. There is no MAP tab as far as I can find. Or any other menu option for that matter. This may be funny when I actually find what you guys are talking about, but it's not looking good right now.

I'll have another look tonight, but I must be missing something. Is it possible that I don't have some active choices that you may have due to my "trial" status?

    Thanks for the help!

See image for clarification, the trial is not crippled in any way.

  6. I use the standard version of DVD Lab. When I view the menu it brings up a properties box on the right of my screen with 5 tabs listed verticaly. The middle tab "MAP" will allow you to change the colors. Use the "color Map" and chose "Selected" Then chose your color (most likely the slider next to the "3" is what you will need to use)
No, I'm from Iowa. I only work in outer space.

  7. Thanks for the graphic.

Like I said, I'm going to have to look at this tonight, but I don't seem to have access to that part of the the properties window. I have a few effects and so forth that can be applied to the objects in the menu, and these are all listed on the right like in the graphic above. But I do not seem to have any other tabs or active choices to toggle between my properties functions and the color map shown above.

I will post an image of my screen when I get home so you can see that I'm not crazy (???).

At any rate, the screen above shows exactly what the help files describe, I just don't seem to have my screen configured like everyone else. Incidentally, I can simply close or open the properties box. But I don't think I can change the actually functions in the box. This is yet to be determined though.

    Thanks.
