I was hoping for a future comparsion.... Wonder If they offer a reduced price for people who just bought version 5.0?

PowerDVD is keeping up with its rival competitor, WinDVD.

PowerDVD 6 (Deluxe) now includes support for high resolution DVD Audio and MLP Decoding. Great for those with Audigy 2 series of sound cards.

    Question:

When downloading the trial..is it a trial of the deluxe edition or standard edition?

Trial is a standard version. However the trial version is a time limited demo:

    30 day duration
    No DVD Audio playback

Yeah, I tried this out. It still has the SVCD bug. It's "better" but not fixed.

For reference, we're talking about the bug that makes funny green blocks show up on EVERY SVCD, regardless of how well encoded it is. Cyberlink has utterly failed to fix this bug since the first PowerDVD 5 release over a year ago.

The web site says if you buy 5 now (for a limited time, but the don't say what that is) you get 6 for free.
