I've seen in the last few days about blank media/special buys at certain stores, etc.

So all i need is one person with a simple answer:

This is what a MEDIA CODE looks like, RICOH is bolded which is the manufacturer of this dvd media. It gives you the exact manufacturer of the dvd media. For instance MEMOREX DVD-R media isn't manufactured by MEMOREX, their dvd media is manufactured by many different companies such as CMC, RICOH, & RITEK. To find out the media codes download DVD IDENTIFIER or DVDINFO PRO which can be found in the TOOLS section in this site. Hope this is a good explanation.
