  1. hi,

many thanks to this site for its excellent help. just got a dv-343 because of this and now i'm able to watch cd-rs finally!

in any case, i am finally able to watch the VCD i burned in my DVD player, and the audio and video sync is off (i.e. the audio is a little ahead of the video). this also happens with the disc on my computer, so i went back to check the MPG which is perfectly synched. any idea what went wrong? i checked another VCD on my new player, and it plays perfectly. the audio seems to go more out of sync as time goes on, and there seems to be a little lag in the video resulting in some minor artifacting. what's going on ? i'm stumped

    thanks for the help

I'm having the same problem but with a slight twist. First of all it look like not very many people know how to fix sync problems by the way the forum looks. I hope this isn't the case.
After splitting the second half of a file in half because of time problems(using tmpgenc cut and merge) I'm having sync problems even after re-encoding with tmpgenc. The first half burned beautifully and so has all the rest of my files. Seems like after cutting I'm having this problem. Any suggestions?
