im looking for a program that can scan my backup vcd for any error (skipping, stopping of the movies). will scan for error in virtualdub do this?

i sometimes backup the original vcd of my friends and some clients for their own use and sometimes i don't have anymore time to view the whole movie in the backup vcd in my standalone player before i gave the ouput to my friends or clients...

Virtualdub (and its variants) will open MPEG-1 without a hassle. I've never tried using the error scan in vdub on MPEGs, but in theory it should work the same as it does on AVIs. There are also a number of MPEG tests you can run in VCDGear.
    If in doubt, Google it.
