  1. Since GSpot doesn't support Matroska, I'm not even sure what the audio format is.

    This particular file plays fine in Media Player Classic, but video only. It comes up with an error when trying to play it in MPC. Any help would be appreciated, as I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for.

  2. Thanks - VideoInspector did the trick. Looks like its AAC.

  3. Media Player Classic has a built in AAC decoder, but if the audio stream is HE-AAC it probably won't play.

    If you install CoreAAC DirectShow filter, and disable the built in filter inside MPC (View / Options / Filters) the audio should be heard.



    CoreAAC seems to decode HE-AAC.
