I burned a few data dvds using no multisession through nero and now my drives (both dvd-rom and dvd-rw) won't read them. The other day it was doing this, then the dvd-rw drive decided to read them....now it won't read them again. What is wrong with dvd? Why is it so flaky and how can I fix this I really need that data, it's very important!

Sounds like cheap discs that were bad burns. Test them.

They read once....but now they won't read. I just don't get it. All of my friends with DVD burners have had similar problems as well.

now I've had my computer on for a while, and it will read them! But I would really like to know what could be causing this.
