when i open a HomemadeMovie.avi, i got this message when i choose HomemadeMovie.avi in TMPGEnc as audio source

File "HomemadeMovie.avi" cannot open, or unsupported

i can play the movie with no problem...and TMPGEnc accepted as a video source. am i missing a codec or something?

ac3 (0x2000) Dolby Laboratories, Inc <<< gspot told me that i already have this installed and is capable of processing the file

  2. Is it the AC3Filter or AC3ACM codec your referring to?

If you set "DirectShow Reader" to the top of the VFAPI list it shouldn't really matter which one you have.

TMPGEnc does not support ac3 audio, you have to convert the audio to a wav file.

First, move the voideo to a less nested directory. If that doesn't help, try changing the Direct Show priority like this:

    Hello.

    If in doubt, Google it.
