I will be purchasing a portable DVD player for my son for Christmas and it got me thinking. I will be getting one that plays DVD-R since that is my preferred format. If I wanted to create or convert content specifically for the 8" widescreen NTSC player that I have in mind, what resolution and bitrate do you think would be aceptable for 4:3 and for 16:9 at 8"?
Also...will I need to deinterlace?...these units display progressive correct?
Thanks
