  1. Hi,

Appreciate if anyone who's done this can share their experience. I have been trying to use MSP6 SE on XP SP2, but keep crashing to the desktop. I capture to AVI via 1394 using WinDV (great stuff, this!! ). Then I open the AVI for editing using MSP6. I can get some work done, but it randomly crashes to the desktop. I haven't figured out any set pattern for the crashes but was wondering if anybody else had this problem - or is there something that I'm doing that's wrong? I'm thinking that this is not compatible with XP?

Anyway, just some background - I have been editing using free stuff that came with my Firewire card, CD burner and more recently my DVD burner.

Recently I started using Sonic MyDVD 4.5 that came with the DVD burner. However, I have an older copy of MSP6 (which came with my 1394 card) that I tried briefly when I first bought the card. At the time, it seemed too complicated for me so I used MGI VideoStudio SE v3 (came with my CDRW drive). Now, 2 years down the road, that I can appreciate some of the stuff MSP can do, I thought of going back to MSP. It didn't crash before, but back then, I was running on W98SE.

    Thanks in advance.
    Cheers!

    Have you updated it? http://www.ulead.com/tech/msp/msp_ftp60.htm

If you still have the product key for 6 you can upgrade to 7 for $150. Just thought I'd point that out to you.
