  1. I have a $25 gift certificate for Staples. The only thing I can think of using it for is DVD media. Most of their media is way overpriced at around $2 a disc. They do have some at $1 a disc. I know that's still a lot but it isn't costing me anything.

The best choices seem to be Maxell, Sony and TDK. I have no idea what flavor of the day I would get with any of these brands.

Any suggestions on what to get?

Get Maxell if it says "Japan" on the package Those are Taiyo Yuden. The "Taiwan" ones are Ritek and are best avoided if possible

Probably the best way to play it is to check out the online Staples ad on Sunday mornings at Staples.com

You could just wait them out for a sale (or whatever else tickles your fancy).
You won't have to wait for long, a few weeks at most.

  7. I just noticed that the coupon is only good for online and phone orders.

I'm not in any hurry, so I'll try that. Thanks.

And that goes for the Staples 25 pack -R also!

I bought a pack but did not open it yet. I've tried a few different brands, including sony, tdk, imation, teon, memorex and optimum. Only ones I had problems with, three coasters, were the memorex!
