I would like to convert my DV tapes to DVD. I have PC and MAC both with firewire. Is there a software out there that can do the capture and burning of the DVD in one shot without much user intervention? Kind of like a DVD recorder replacement. I have so many tapes and I would like to not make menus or any customizations. Just simple archiving of my DV tapes. I searched the forum for keywords but was unsuccessfull.
Thanks
Nariman

Check out the programs under Advanced Video Editors in Tools.

There are several that will let you go from capture to DVD. I presume that you want to encode as MPEG2 and author the DVDs, rather than just backing up DV to DVD."Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan

Excuse me, but I was aware of the tools section. I was trying to get help so I do not have to try every single one of these programs to find out how they work.
I appreciate it if you know if a program that will do what I am looking you.

You can do that with any app designed to go from capture to burn. You just skip the menu part. Some will allow you to create auto chapters by time interval which if you have lengthy footage is a good idea. Try Ulead Video Studio.
