Hello,
I have two big DiVX AVi files with split VobSub subtitles (ie each has its own .idx and .sub file) in two languages, Chinese and English.
Now, I would like to process them in order to obtain a single DVD with burned (ie permanent) subtitles, even if in only one language (English).
How do I set about doing this?
Joining the two files may be done with QTPro, converting afterwards the resulting .mov with ffmpegX to DVD , but I have no way of injecting the two subtitles sets (much as TitleLab may produce the right QT subtitles) in QTPro.
Should I make a DVD per file with ffmpegX, then I am aware of no way to join them (and besides, both mplayer and VLC show the English subtitles with a barely readable character, real bad, though it is all right in Chinese-wrong character encoding?).
If necessary, I may use DVDSP, though I don't believe it would help, either.
Any idea? Thank you.

Thank you very much buddy, but no dice.
TitleLAB seems to spot billions of time positioning errors in the subtitles (which happen to work perfectly well, though the characters are rendered badly by VLC 0.8.0), so I cannot proceed with your therapy.
Anything else I might use, instead of TitleLAB?
Do bear in mind that the subtitle file contains two subtitles, English and Chinese, and not just one.
Cheers,
