The native language versions are funny, 'cause the English speaking actors are usually dubbed by somone else and are as far off as an American Dub of a Martial Arts movie.

They used to do several versions for different markets - each version having scenes added that weren't in the other versions.

Some American made films do that also.

Yes a lot of Italian films did alternate scenes of signs etc. with English lettering on one version and Italian in another. Usually there weren't totally major differences other than inserts like that (close up of a Killer's note in English or Italian text depending on the version).

I know it's not a Fulci film, but did you see "The Grudge?" What do you think about how close it is to the books, if you've read them?

I haven't seen the original which I want to see before the US remake and I didn't even know that they were based on books.

There is some excellent Asian cinema I agree but it isn't my cup of tea ... I sample from it but not often.

In short it ain't my thing.

The books are a really good series. The original is okay, but if you want something that doesn't look like a B-movie gone bad, the newer one is really good. I think they are also going to make all three movies.

Indo is participating in the Northern Arizona Annual Wild Sheep Roundup. He was last seen driving north at a high rate of speed with a case of K-Y and a case of strawberry wine coolers in his car

Seriously, he just changed jobs and he's getting settled in schedule-wise. He'll be back soon Should be any day now. I had lunch with him a couple weeks ago and he has some good news, but I don't want to steal his thunder, so I'll let him make the announcement

I know I missed ya, decomposing dude I miss the sloughed-off skin sticking to the walls here in OT

I want to make a movie where Lassie get's called, the camera pans across the alfalfa field to the dog. The dog then starts running through the field. Suddenly a gunshot is heard along with a short whelp from Lassie. Then back to the horror struck boy where it zooms in slightly. The boy then runs for Lassie screamming, "Nooooooooo--" [BANG] and down drops the boy. This psychotic killer then comes out from the trees at the edge of the field and runs to the house raping the mother & sister then blowing the rest of the family away. Next we go to a Bambi scene........ It's pretty damn warped.

You should see what I would have in store for the canibal scene in the "Yearling". The tragic twist in "Born Free" would give animal activists a massive coronary.

In case anyone is wondering why I came back only to seemingly disappear again ...

On November 20, 2004 my computer died because my pissed off girlfriend (now EX girlfriend) threw a glass of water over my computer while it was running ... and of course since I "tinker" with the bitch (the computer that is) often I didn't have the case on.

    Fried city

Got a new computer due on Christmas but nothing until then other than while I am at work and I can't really afford to be here then.

So I shall return in about a month. You have all been warned! :P

He's lying about the computer. He's really doing bootlegs and selling them on eBay while trying to keep a low profile so he can still have inside view of making top quality reproductions.

    PROOF!

This guy has a whole ton of these. If it's not our man Fulci, they must be related.

    I'm back ... again!

Got my new computer sooner than I thought.

I just went with a store bought pre-configured computer (gasp!) but it kicks ass:

MEDION model M3 COMPOSER 5200 with WinXP Home SP2
    Intel P4 540 3.2E Ghz
    512MB PC3200 DDR SDRAM
    200GB Serial ATA/100 hard drive (7200 rpm)
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5300 graphics (128MB PCI Xpress)
    DVD/CD-ROM 16x DVD 48x CD
    Multiformat 16x DVD-R/+R with +R DL burning
    Built-in 7.1 audio / USB 1.0 and 2.0 / Firwire
1 PCI Xpress Slot (occupied with the video card)
3 PCI Slots (One occupied with a old school 56k telephone line modem)

In short I am one very happy camper. I would like more PCI slots but 2 should do and 3 will be enough (after all I have DSL internet so I can take the 56k modem out).

I had a P3 650Mhz 256MB RAM computer so it will be interesting to see how fast CCE will be now hehehe

    Life is good

Hopefully I will have all my software etc. installed by this weekend then I'll be in shape to start snooping around and beating up the newbies.

    Hello,

Fulci - SWEET! Blows away my new Celeron 2.66ghz - though I didn't have to sacrifice much $$$$$ money for the performance I can get out of it.

  29. Looks like she did you a favor by forcing you to get something you really really wanted, but knew you couldn't justify with the 650Mhz laying around still running.

now you can convert back to TMPGEnc and not notice that much of a speed loss.
