I was curious if anyone knows of a good DVD player especially with +R. I have a Cyberhome 400 and it is mediocre at best with -R formats (multiple disc brands) and it is terrible with +R. So I went and bought a Sony NS575P for $100 and it is even worse. I took some different burned discs -R and +R that always glitched to my buddy's house and played them on his 3 year old ($300 at that time) Sony player (don't know the model #) and even the worst disc played perfectly.
From reading the boards it seems like a lot of players have problems with +R format. I am going to upgrade my T.V., sound system, dvd, etc. in a year or two and just want something that is good but not necessarily exceptional.
So I want to know if anyone can suggest a good player?![]()

Since no one got back to me on this and I figured it out, I will post my own answer for anyone curious.
I took some of my DVD-r and +r's that were the worst culprits into my friendly neighborhood Best Buy (don't know if I should be using their name but they did bend over backwards to help me, I have no affiliation). Told them my problem and spent an hour hooking up different players to test the problem at hand. In the end I bought the Phillips 642. I am pleased with the results as well as the price tag ($65).
Cheers to no skipping and screwy pixilation.
