nope, not mine. i dont think i have the knowledge or resources to get an amd core speed that high
-
I wonder what they rating on that would be. Considering the core speed on a 3400+ is only 2.4GHz.
Or am I just reading it wrong? I've always bought Intel in the past, but I'd really love to build an AMD64 system next go round.Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore. -
well fx 55 runs at 2600 mhz from factory, and that chip kills even intel's extreme. so what this dude did is insane. i think fx 57 will be at 2800 and fx 59 at 3000.

Probably liquid Nitrogen.

The new 90nm version of the Athlon FX can be overclocked to a core speed around 2.6ghz. It whips up on "some" of the FX series after its done. It cost $190, compare that to the FX series.

**edit**
Not mine by the way, I wish.
Saw it on www.xtremesystems.orgWe'll be right back after these messages from Binford! -
I wonder how stables these systems are. Only just stable enough to get into Windows, grab a CPU-Z screenshot and then crash.
Still, some really stunning overclocking there!

guess you gotta have some cajones to be able to take a chip that cost $800-1100 and be willing to fry it. i know my budget doesnt support that

That's nothing, I actually got my P4 2.4GHz (533FSB) all the way down to 1.8GHz.
