IS this going to be a problem ???

I am trying to use some software to help me rip my movies then burn. When i install DVD Decrypter, it tell me this:

What does it mean that ( fat32 ) does not support single files? Im confused. Will this affect my burning at all?

What it means is that on any drive formatted with the FAT32 file system -- which yours currently are -- no file can be larger than 4GB in size.

This may be a problem, depending on what you do. The biggest obstacles are that you can't use ISO images -- your DVD Decrypter rips, and your authored DVD projects, have to be done as a VIDEO_TS directory containing the individual IFO/BUP/VOB files -- and no MPEG or AVI file you capture or encode can exceed 4Gb in size.

It's not too hard to work around -- I did it for quite a while, running my system under Windows 98 -- but the only way to get rid of the problem permanently is to convert your drives from FAT32 to NTFS. NTFS does not have this limitation.

it means you can back up as an image file ... only as vobs ... change one or more of your drives to NTFS instead if this is a issue (not a bad idea anyway)

yeah convert to ntfs
Click on Start
run
type: convert [drive]: /fs:ntfs
ur files will remain

Hi all.

thatdamngood, another option is to rip/process with DVD Shrink.
You will have to select "ISO image" as the backup target, and DVD Shrink will automatically split the file for it to be compatible with your FAT32 system.

Then use DVD Decrypter to burn.

P.S: DVD Shrink can automatically launch DVD Decrypter for the burning process, if you choose "ISO image and burn with DVD Decrypter" as the backup target.
