I just bought a DVD player with capability of playing Kodak Picture CD. Could anybody here please tell me how to make such a compatible CD so that it will be playable by my DVD with Kodak Picture CD feature? Any software or shareware available to make a Kodak Picture CD disk?
Appreciate it.

Do you have your film developed then put on a Kodak (Chapter 11) CD??
If not you can scan the pics in and make a cd there is a How to at this link
http://www.vcdhelp.com/burnmpg.htm
on the bottom you will find out how to make a photo album to play on a Compatable DVD player (check compatible list to see if your dvd player will play burned disks).

I had read that thread before I posted this question. It is not the point I tried to make. Thanks just the same.
I have developed the 35mm film and scanned the film in with a Nikon film scanner. I can save it as JPG format or any other formats with Photoshop. Making a VCD or DVD is a way to have a slideshow. However, I would like to see whether there is a way to make a Kodak Picture CD compatible format because my DVD player can play it like that. If not, I have to stick to making a MPEG2 format and burn a DVD/VCD.
Can anybody here tell me what Kodak Picture CD format is?

Well I have the Apex AD-5131 which says Kodak pic disc capability, all I think this means is JPEG capability. I just burned my JPEGs onto a CDR and the player read them fine. The menu comes up like a MP3 player so you can make subfolders if you want to seperate different sets of pics (vacation, birthday, wedding, etc...)

Sergeant,
Ok,if it is like that, it will be much easier that of a DVD burning.
Thanks a lot.

Hazel, I know you said you wanted to make a Kodak Picture Disk but did you take a look at Ulead's DVD Picture Show at Ulead.com? It is a very slick program saves and displays images in DVD resolutions on VCDs and DVDs. They have a trial version to try.

Well,
I used nero and actually made a disc in Photo CD format.
(menu and everything).
The only problem is that I cannot pause it, or anything like that. Once it starts, it goes at a constant rate.
I can jump to a specific picutre (by putting in its nunmber) from the menu, but at that point, I have no control and it just goes.
I have tried it on 2 diff dvd players.
(one was an apex).
any advice?
I assume I am doing something wrong in burning.
