BURNSTAR DVD-2102 SE MACROVISION DISABLE HELP PLEASE!!

As title please-tried one that i was given.
Open drawer, press set up on remote, press vol + and vol - three times until ver 255 comes up on top rhs,
Still using the remote scroll until 4001 comes up and change it to 4000.
THE PROBLEM IS I CANNOT FIND 4001/4000!!!
What i get is-ver 255, 3001/3000 and ver 1 to 6 and nothing else.
Im going mad!!
Help please.

yuor post does not help you are not tell us what is going and what you are trying to copy.

Sounds like you got the wrong model number for those instructions to disable macrovision with your remote control thru the menu,maybe someone else here has the same model that can verify or help you more.

I am trying to copy a dvd-to my Liteon 5006 dvd recorder.
My dvd recorder tells me the disc is copyrighted and will not allow me to record.
I asume that if i disable the macrovision it will allow me to do so?

It would be much faster and you get a lot better quality by just ripping the dvd to your hdd with a computer dvd-rw and then burning the dvd files.Use dvdshrink for this.
