  1. I've got a few short video projects I've been trying to put on a DVD. The structure is basically two main features on the main menu, and a link to a special features menu, with a few short clips on that page.

I have a 3 year old copy of the watered down MyDVD, which seems to work, but I haven't spent too much time with it for this project because I figured there had to be a better program out by now (if that was ever even a good program). I've been trying to use Nero Vison Express (??). But it keeps crashing on my Pentium 1.8, with 512k memory, and running Windows Me. I downloaded the new release from 10/25, and it seems to be crashing less, but it doesn't seem to support a more complex DVD design. That is, I can't figure out how to get a second menu layer (among other things).

Can anyone offer any suggestions for a software that may help? I hate to spend a lot of time hacking through a project, if I am beat from the start because of the program.

One last thing, I am encoding from Premier's .avi files, so the encoder built into the program should be able to encode in good quality.

    Thanks!!! Andy

  3. Yes dvdlab pro rocks i love it. It may seem complicated but it really isn't. I just fooled around with it for like a day and pretty much know it now. The menu options are amazing plus you have full control on how you design your dvd. Get it !! Plus it has a try for 30 day option.
