Hi friends,
Sorry, but I´m desperate. I want to talk to a person that have the same problem that I have.
I just tested on 2 or 3 PCs with different firewire cards and cables, Win XP Pro and Win 2000...when I connect my JVC GR-D30 camcorder, I receive the message : THERE ARE NO DV CAMCORDER ON THIS SYSTEM.
I think that there is not a solution yet...so...I REALLY need to talk to everyone who has the same problem....please....
Is my Firewire output fried ? Has JVC an incompatibility with certain Firewire Cards ? Well, I need to know that ...
Thanx![]()

On some cameras the firewire port is switched off. Go thru the camera menu and confirm that the port is switched on.
Next plug your camera into the computer and hit play on the camera, if you are using XP, it should detect your camera as new hardware, works with other Microsoft OS's but I'm not sure which ones.
