Hi,
due to major problems with false macrovision on my ATI RAdeon 9200 I've decided to buy a different capture device. I was thinking about Pinnacle DC10+ but it has MJPEG hardware compression that can't be swithched off. For some reasons I need to capture uncompressed video through svideo/cinch. Coul you please recommend me any device? I've looked through Capture Card List but can't determine wich cards can capture uncemopressed video without this usefull-but-not-for-me MPEG/MJPEG compression. I just want to capture the video, don't need any tuners/special effect support on the card. Should I chose PCI device? Or maybe USB 2.0 is ok? Don't want to have any audio/video sync problems.
greetings

One name........ Canopus. Expensive but you won't be disappointed. Easy to use, very good quality, 0 dropped frames and impossible for the audio to go out of sync.
BTW stay away from any USB device. -
If you want something much cheaper than the Canopus, you might try the AverMedia DVD EZMaker PCI. I have a couple of them that I got for $10 after rebate that work very well for me.

I don't use the capture software that came with it. I use VirtualVCR with the Huffyuv codec to capture to avi.
