    Hi All,

I have 2 .avi's (Xvids) that I'm trying to join and I get errors that I haven't seen on the board yet.

First after adding the first file I get this:

I click ok then when I try to append the second file I get this error:

    Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help,

I would separate the audio out with Virtualdub to WAV format, just like the error box says. This error is common with MP3 VBR audio. You can also adjust the audio sampling rate with VD.

  3. I get the same error. After trying the solution i manage to join them but the audio for the second half of the avi is now out of sync. What can i do to remedy this?

If a window popups and says that VBR audio stream detected you must use Virtualdub MP3 Freeze or you will get audio sync problem. So quite simply use virtual dub mp3 freeze instead of ordinary virtual dub.

If you're making a DVD then I recommend that you don't bother joining the avi's. Convert each separately then author so that they play one after the other. Less hassle.
