adding text animation/transitions to a slideshow

i am making a slideshow and putting it on dvd. what i want to do is have text animations (like blinking or flipping around) and text transitions (like dissolve or fade in). is there a good program for this. right now i have ulead videostudio 8 and i can add text to the pics but i cant seem to add any effects to the text.

Ulead Cool 3-d, it does that and a lot more. It does export as an overlay but I don't think VS8 cn import overlays. You would have to export as a completed AVI to import it into VS8.

WildFX Pro (from wildform www.wildform.com does some nice text effects and I found it pretty easy to use..encodes an avi w/ an alpha channel transparent background ... not sure if your editor supports that (it should but better to check) ...not sure how it compares to cool 3-d...

thanks for the replies. i found out how to get it to work with i have. apparently i was in some kind of slideshow wizard and wasnt using the full program.
