dvd shrink 3.2

Have a new computer with Nero 6.0 installed and have downloaded the new dvd shrink 3.2. Have tried to analyze and back-up a dvd and it keeps stopping and closing the program during analyzing. this is a friend's computer, I have version 3.1 on my computer and it works fine from beginning of the analyzing to the burn...what could be wrong?? I have looked for the 3.1 version here to no avail. Is version 3.1 no longer available??

I'm new at this and have had the same problem. I'm finding that Nero isn't very good for burning with dvd shrink. Many Nero error messages
I use dvd Decrypter to rip the dvd to the hard drive, then use IMG tool burn to burn it to dvd.
So far it's been great, and very easy to use. Might want to try it.

jsam50, the problem is most likely due to overheating.
Try removing the PC side-panels and see if it helps.

Could be video/audio codec problem. (I don't have 3.1, so I'm assuming it has these options). Go to preferences > preview and try both of these: Switch it off or use built-in software renderer.

"Usually", when it stops analyzing (does it throw an error like cyclic-redundancy) is because the DVD rom couldnt read the sector and/or it interpretted something that it couldnt analyze.

The DVD rom that you are successfully able to analyze from may be "better" than the DVD rom that your friend is using.

After rereading your post, are you saying that both versions of shrink are on the one PC and one works and the other doesnt. You reference my (and your friends computer) and I am over analyzing

I have a LiteOn 411S on my computer and I am burning flawlessly with DVDShrink and Nero. My friend bought a new computer with an Optorite DD0405 installed by the vendor and it included an OEM version of Nero Express 6.0. I updated the Firmware from Optorite and now I am able to get through the Analyze Disk and it started a Burn when I asked it to Backup the Disk. This is an 8X Burner and it started out at only 2X and didn't get far before it threw a Calibration Error and quit the Burn Process. Any ideas folks.
