I want to made a best of music videos DVD with DVD Lab pro (trial).
The videos are all PAL
The Sound is Either LPCM or AC3 2.0/ 5.1
I create all subtitles manually with Subtitle Workshop.
Up now no problem.
I author my DVD and put all the Videos in one VTS
Multiple video with different audio format.
I have some warning about compatibility with standalone players (and yes in my standalone only the videos with the same audio type as the first one is playing. That works fine in PowerDVD).
So I decided to make my DVD in an another way.
I create a VTS for each video so there no warnings anymore but now I can't author it anymore
My DVD consists of 20 VTS.
When I launch the building procedure, I receive an error message when it tries to create the menu. The message is "OUT OF MEMORY"I have 17 GB free on my D drive and 5 GB free on my C drive.
What can I do ???? (It was working fine with only 1 or 2 VTS but not with 20, I don't know why because the DVD specification allow up to 99 VTS).
Plz help me.

hi
the warning the dvd-lab gives u is all right to ignore if at the side of the warning there are a pair of specs with blue lenses, this is just a standard warning and usually plays ok, u can't ignore the warning if it as a pair of hands with a red symbol this is a major prob and will lock the dvd player.
the warning about the memory i hav had before but don't know what the problem is, i have 1gb memory, if u save the project while u are working on it. and restart the program. hope this gives u some light at the end of the tunnel -
I rebuilt my project from scratch and here is what I get:
When I use 3 or 4VTS I got this error message:
If I use 5 VTS and more, I got the error 'Out of Memory'
It seems to work only with 2 VTS
anyone got this problem ?????? -
If you look at the revision history of DVDLab PRO, you will notice an entry about increased number of "external" VTS from 3 to 99 (as per the standard).
I am not sure exactly what the author means by external VTS, but the whole thing points to possible inability of handling more than 3 titlesets.
Try the last update (posted yesterday - Nov. 4th) and perhaps it will solve the problem. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know. -
The latest update don't solve my problem. I always have the same error message.

I re-read your previous posting with your system's screenshots.
It appears that your system run low on virtual memory and Windows was about to increase the size of the virtual memory file. Unfortunatelly, DVDLab crashed while asking for memory that wasn't available - yet.
Increasing your virtual memory will very likely solve the problem.
It is unclear if you have Windows 2000 or XP, so:
If yoy are running Windows 2000, go to Control Panel, select System, then the Advanced Tab. From there click on the Performance Options (top frame of dialog) and then click on Change for the Virtual Memory settings and increase the max value for virtual memory.
If you have XP, go to Control Panel, select System, then the Advanced tab. Once there, click on Settings in the performance frame, and then in the new dialog select the advanced tab where you will find Virtual Memory settings in the lower frame. Click on change and increase the Max value for virtual memory.
Rule of thumb is that max should be between 1.5x and 2x of your real RAM size. If you have 256Mb, select between 384 and 512. If you have 512Mb RAM, select between 768 and 1024. (Setting max to 2x won't harm you unless you are really short on disk space).
BTW, don't expect DVD Lab to work properly with 128 MB RAM or so. Tried that on my notebook and couldn't compile anything but the simplest projects. The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
