    does anyone know how you get a Ram DVD out of it's caddy?

    There should be a release tab or sliding lock somewhere along the outside of the caddy, probably at the edge. Unless it's one that's not designed to have the disc removed. Most are removable, but there are a few that are sealed up.

    If you want to get it out ....once ...and leave it out, that's easy enough to do with a little care and patience. But you have to destroy the caddy.
