  1. I only tried VR once on 2 different discs, maybe it was how short the recording was, it took 14 minutes on one disc and 19 on the other to finalize 5-10 minutes of recording.

I am still trying to find out the answer why I can only view/edit the finalised but not unfinalised DVD-RW -VR Mode discs on DVD+RW Combo Drive using Cyber PowerProducer Software. Again the reason why I need the use of my PC in the first first place is so both I can burn it to DVD+RW to make it compatible with my other dvd player whilst my other JVC DVD Recorder is at the cleaners in a manner of speaking. Is there some patch from microsoft that would solve this for me as evidently Cyber PowerProducer will clearly not with unfinalised discs. Finalised I have no problem. Looking forward to hearing your replies.

As for using VR mode I use it cos it affords High Dubbing in a fraction of the time of DVD Video Mode. Convenient if like I had to take your films off your DVD Recorder's 160GB Hard Drive just in case the cleaners delete them during the wash. But I generally use DVD Mode as VR is not compatible on other multi-format dvd players/recorders. But please somebody help me find the answer to my last question. Thank you

    Try:

Nero InCD version 4.3.0.0 or newer (older versions won't work)
    http://www.nero.com/us/nero-up.php

    Pinnacle InstantRead or InstantWrite
    http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docsupport1.asp?division_id=1&langue_id=2&product_id=1154&p...6.5&page_id=62

These are the only 2 suggestions I have other than buying a Pioneer drive or another JVC recorder.

  5. How do you finalize anything on a standalone in 1 minute? I've never seen either of mine do it in less than 4. Do you have one with a hard drive that finalizes faster or something?
