Just started backing up DVDs to avi (or trying to)so I can take CDs away with me instead of originals. I am running Windows 2000, and get a great DVD RIP with Smartripper.
Can anyone recommend the best way for converting the vobs to avi under Windows 2000. I've had a dabble with Flask and XMPEG but both seem prone to crashing. DVD2AVI seems to work but gives me separate video and audio - not the end of the world but ideally I'm looking for an all-in-one process (Vob to compressed avi)if there is a suitable one.
Anyone with experience of Windows 2000 I'd be grateful for any advice.
cheers
