The other connector on the power supply that's new to me is a 6 pin thing labeled "aux". I am reasonably sure it really is a SATA power connector because my power supply is the newest variety ATX12V/ATX2.03, so what else cound it be?Originally Posted by ViRaL1

6-pin rectangle connector would be a PCI-E video card power cable. SATA power is a small flat connector similar in shape to the SATA communication cable but a little wider.

Does it look like an old AT power connector?

Yes. Actually it does. I should probably take a picture of it and post, but I'd have to finish building the computer first.Originally Posted by ViRaL1

This webpage:

Explains the whole power supply thing in detail. It calles it a 6-pin aux connector.

That looks like the ATX 12V connector. Not a lot of boards use it. Either I'm reading wrong or their documentation needs to be revised. For number 4 where it talks about Drives and Peripherals Connection, everything is mislabeled. I'll find some pics of mobos with the connector.
The SATA power connector is listed on the page you linked to at maxpoint.Originally Posted by zzyzzx
EDIT: I may be wrong about the power connector being the 12V connection. I have seen some boards that use it, but if your board doesn't have the connection you shouldn't have to worry about it.
This is about the best shot I can get of a mobo with it. It's to the left of the ATX power connector.
