I have a PCMCIA 802.11b card in my laptop. I'm using Windows 2000.
The card does not link to the access point when you first boot up. You have to load the Realtech config softwre, turn off the radio portion of the card, then toggle it back on and it connects every time. I stays on even after a hibernation. Only on a reboot does it not connect.
I have the latest drivers and config software I can find. Is this the drivers or something I'm doing wrong with Win2K?
Thanks!
LS

I haven't used WIN2K for at least 2 years but do you have the "AUTOmatic" wireless config setup correctly from the intial boot/startup for windows?
I know in XP in has a service for wireless
Click "start"
run
type "msconfig"
click "services tab"
check the wireless config box -
