Have been using a Cyberhome 300 from a year ago, it's been a GREAT player, but the firmware doesn't do very well with DVD-R's. It's a really decent Progressive Scan picture, and I LOVED the menu option that allowed for tweaking of Brightness, Contrast, and Color. It crapped out and I bought a new one, (New firmware, now plays every DVD-R you put in!!) But they changed the menu, no options for tweaking the Picture anymore!!!!! And because of this, the Progressive Scan Picture stinks!! Anyone have a suggestion for something similar?
Needs to be Progressive Scan, plays DVD-R's, and have menu options for adjusting the picture..... And something around the price would be nice, but could go more if I need to. Although I tried a Sony for about $90 that didn't even compare to the picture on the Cyberhome.

The JVC XV-N410B has 8 adjustments for picture, enough to keep anyone happy. I bought one from Sears Liquidation on e-bay for $39. There is a firmware update for it on JVCs websight.

Hi JR.S,
I am glad you are satisfied with the DVD Player, did you notice the difference in the picture quality? this is what everyone in my family are getting this year. by the way , my contact Vito, is no longer with the company, his replacement is Derek Ngai you can reach him at 1 800 555-6255 x 8851 or DerekNg@pcmall.com. if you call, please leave a call back number, vito told me he received a mountain of calls, and emails, but about 8 of you did not leave a call back number. In case you are wondering, I am not affiliated with this company or its products, I am a buyer at my workplace and have bought this DVD player for our offices in Mexico, Argentina and Venezuela.
Thanks and Regards
HAPPY HOLIDAYS to ALL !!
