Ok, let me remedy this then, and state the obvious.

If, using DVD Shrink, you compress a title fairly near to its "maximum compressability" ("custom ratio" >> slider all the way to the left), there is a fair chance compression artefacts will be noticeable.
How noticeable will depend on whether you used Deep Analysis or not, on what AEC option you chose, on the quality/bitrate of the original title, and on the viewing equipment used.
The types of artefacts generated will depend to varying degrees on the chosen AEC option, and on the type of scene(s) in which they appear.

    Happy?

P.S: if you want to quote me, please quote the whole post, so as not to inadvertently take tidbits out of context.

Still does'nt change the fact that the transcoder in the latest shrink and recode leaves macroblocks in the pic quality, may be due to the speed of the transcoder as some have claimed the speed is improved in newer versions. I myself had problems with rebuilder that's why I dulged into dual layer burning with great success.
Ahhh...if you spent that much on your system why not just buy another DVD and keep one sealed?
For most of us peons that don't have a 60" screen DVDShrink looks great.
BTW..why are you transcoding if you have a DL burner?

Perhaps your attitude towards the other members on this forum may be the answer.

You are mistaken, it's the other way around, you see in the USA we hate stupid shit, for instance all the backers of dvd shrink latest version admit they are macroblocks in back up pic, however it's still the best transcoder????

My mistake. It must be the other way round because you say so and you're never wrong.

I would recommend a good place to help to get Rebuilder working properly but I don't think your attitude would be welcome there.

Perhaps when you actually offer some constructive advice instead of badmouthing programs you don't like.

Whoa! Leave the rest of us out of this. :P You know, if you'd just state your opinion, nobody would have a problem with it. You might get challenged on your facts or reasoning, so what? But you have a knack for getting people's backs up.
    Pull! Bang! Darn!

  8. I still want to know what "dulged" means.

Out of curiosity I put a search on Google for Jah_Rankin - one hit(he must be disappointed). And what a surprise - he was upsetting people on another forum. Do a search here and you will find the same story.
This forum is for helping people not proving what an ass you are. I think you have succeeded here many times over.

geez this guy jah rankin is still ranting and shit because he can't get DVDREBUILDER to work on his pc. if you read his other posts in this forum site you'll see how others tried to help him but he couldn't understand or the lack of to get the program working. i'm sure his future postings people will not want to help someone who's being a butthead.
here take a look at his thread:

  14. Hey Jah_Rankin,
Instead of spending all your time on this forum bashing programs that are insufficient for your needs, why don't you develop a simple transcoding program that, (thanks to people like ddlooping) works as simple as DVD shrink or Nero Recode and gets rid of all the MACROBLOCKSSSSSS???????

    How ya like them apples?????

  15. I think this topic is over now. If anyone wishes to continue this argument, please do so via. PM. Remember that all forum rules also apply to PMs.
