    Hello,

Um... This thread is about the online part... Hence the mention of Netflix which has no physical store

    Kevin

---but I agree with you, blockbuster has a nice selection ---

Blockbuster Online is new and on a large new customer drive. Take a look at them 6 months from now when they've picked up a decent amount of customers. Maybe take a look at them in 2 years (if they're still around), when 1 of the other players has dropped off and is no longer renting. Something tells me their service / selection won't be as great then.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

Blockbuster blows. They are in bed with the big movie companies. Stick to the smaller indy movie renters.

I went light last time ....but I thought your post got closed due to post-crossing ..well anyway .as long as you get more than 6 movie a month that is better than walking in and renting a DVD fom B.B. ( 6movies X about $5 bucks = $30 bucks )I usually get 15 or better .. I usually use netflixs for alot of old series , cartoonies , and some hard to get stuff ..and I am not talking about hard to get like Die Hard that they dont have on dvd in my local store ,,,,eventhough I like that movie ...I am talking about international films from across the pond or down south from North america

I am not supporting netflix but I think we all heard you ok the first time around..

i'm not trying to start problems, but I mean it just makes me mad when some people say they can get there dvds in a day or whtuever, and in the first 14 day trial I only recieved 3 dvds so far, and i don't wanna end up paying for 6 dvds a month almost probably...

well I found in my experience that if a weekends crosses in then I am f-ed so I dont even count weekends...but most of the time I usually get the dvd a day before they say I will get it ...unless they dont have the movie in the local D.C. ( distribution Center ) then it could take up to 3 days later...that is why I usually use BB for new movies ( with rewards so I always get an old for free) and I use netflixs for older titles so the are always available

    good luck

well, that's a function of living close to a distribution point. I have one right in town, so if I put something in the mail on Monday night, they have it Tuesday and my next movie gets to me Wednesday.

solution? move closer to a major metro, where they have a distribution hub.

kind of like saying "I'm pissed because I live in West Virginia, and there aren't any kangaroos - all you Australians got the kangaroos!"

well, I live in Minneapolis, and my distro is in Minneapolis, so I'd venture a guess that I'm about 15 minutes away.

I think that the blockbuster(store, not online) program is better because that way you dont have to wait. How many movies you want to watch depends on how many times you're willing to drive to the store...not on the mail.

.... if you like what Blockbuster stocks in it's stores - average BB store stocks 3,000 movies. Netflix has 25,000.

Their stores are complete wastes of space.
I just signed up with GAMELY because of this.
And I plan to keep NETFLIX for many more months.
    Blockbuster is such a hassle.
Nothing beats a service that comes to my door.

USPS. Learn about routes and hubs.
If I mail a letter in my own city .. to my own city, it will take about 4-5 days unless I put it in the "same city" box. Netflix is a bulker. They hit the normal boxes, directly to a hub in a metro, no doubt.

    Pointless bitching.
