  1. Lately I've been doing a lot of 2 pass VBR stuff that invariably ends up too big for a DVD. I tried fitcd but I can't seem to get a predictable file size (I guess that's why its not called fitdvd). That really doesn't bother me as I just plan on using dvdshrink to shrink them down a little. My last movie came up to 98.5% compression rate as I was just a bit over. When I did a backup, the file size was reduced but the movie freezes. One movie I did froze every 40 seconds. It keeps going and keeps the audio sync though. One I did last night did the same thing. It's not my DVDs since I didn't even burn the one last night. The original movie does not freeze. I simple loaded my file and clicked "backup." Am I doing something wrong?

So it does this if you play the shrunk version from your hard drive ?

  3. Yes, and the other one I burned froze up on my standalone. I deleted the "unshrunk" one from my drive already though.
