Hi all.
Recently I bought a Sony home theatre system ( DAV –SB 100) and found out that this unit doesn’t play most of my VCDs ( so far was successful on one only that I bought here in America, Those VCDs from Europe I can see the first frame from the move and than I am getting blank black screen with audio only. Am I doing something wrong or simply it’s not compatible with VCDs. It’s strange that in documentation it says it plays VCDs. Some advice or hint would be very helpful and appreciated.

Hello,
You say the European vcds don't play???? Then its probably a pal issue. You need to convert it to ntsc to play on a North American dvd player.
Do a forum search for pal to ntsc and you'll get a ton of info. Also look it up in the guides under "how to" convert found in the green section on the left side of the screen
