    I have 2 movies one from europe and one from asia, when i ripped them with dvdshrink, I'm still unable to view on my old pioneer player. getting a screen with flickering picture. i tried using different media and only decoding with reion1. any ideas what this might be? thanks.

    Well the europe one will be in PAL format and most likly the asia one as well... Let me hazard a guess that you are in the good ol'e us of a......

    yeah..from the USA. but these dvds aren't. any idea how to get them to play. they will play on my zenith player without a problem. the orginal won't even play on the pioneer, and flickering pic after i rip it.

    By the sounds of it, your pioneer player can't play PAL. In this case, you will need to undertake a PAL-to-NTSC conversion. THere's plenty of info here.
