Did you know Married men live 10+ years longer than single men. Single Women live 8+ years longer than married women. 1 out of every 4 unfaithful men die while having sex with a woman that's not their wife. A woman is more likely to be unfaithful than a man. (The funny thing is there is a fact that says men are better at hiding a cheating relationship than a woman is, so is it possible that more men than women cheat?) Women astronauts who have been in space have a harder time adjusting back to earth than men do, both by breathing and circulation of the blood due to the smaller lungs and heart. Women secrete a chemical during pregnancy that actually causes their brain to shrink or compress slightly. Women are more suceptible to osteoperosis than men, even if following an identical calcium rich diet to men. Women are more likely to develop arthritis than men. Men are more likely to tear a muscle and develop things like tendonitis than women. A man's most sensitive nerve endings are 10 times more sensitive than a woman's most sensitive nerve endings. When pregnant, a woman's sense of smell can come very close to that of some species of dogs.

Did you know that fish can withdraw the pigmentation in their skin and become very colourless when frightened? The cell organelles containing the pigment can be bunched up in the middle of the cell at very short notice. This also occurs when the fish is asleep. -

Did you know Tesla helped with the creation of neon & flourescent lighting. Being able to use less power at low voltages, but be able to create better levels of lighting. Edison's incandescent light was more popular and used because it could be used in both the DC & AC systems, so people didn't have to buy new sockets or worry what power system they had during the early days of electricity.
Though Alexander Graham Bell was the first to put in a patent of a telephone (by one hour), he used notes from Elisha Gray to finish his working prototype about 3 weeks later. Elisha Gray was then man who posted his telephone patent 1 hour later.
Bell's original reason for invention a speaking machine was to help deaf people to vocally speak, and reversly see the sounds on a paper made by someone who is speaking and try to interpret them as words. The first machines looked like a seismograph attached to a funnel. It was also understood, for a short time before hand, that sounds could travel by wire. Bell's strong knowledge in accoustics and minor electricity allowed him to develop the working diaphragm to allow people to hear the sounds clearly. -
