  1. I know this has been addressed on and off in this forum, but i was curious about a few things that i'm trying to get a fix on:

    1. My understanding is that the Quick Presets simply ENTER information into the gui , is this correct? In other words - There is nothing "special" about them per se, they merely enter bitrates, frame sizes, audio codecs, etc - all things you can enter manually.

    2. The differences between DVD-lo and KDVD, is simply a lower bit rate on the latter (1800 kbit/s -vs- 2300), so what makes KDVD a special format? Why would a dvd player play one and not the other?

    2. For Q Matrix in Options, DVD-lo uses the Standard setting, while KDVD uses the kvcd setting -- which uses kvcd.net "Notch" Quantization Matrix, allowing for 16% average bitrate reduction in VBR mode.

  3. And, 1. is correct.
