Can someone please tell me where the pad is located and how to remove it for cleaning or replacement? Either pictures or guide would be great if you can tell me where to find it. Thank you very much for your help.
    Thank You,

Bodyslide while I appreciate the advice Epson will not give out the info I am looking for in this post. They want you to take it to a dealer and have to pay for this service. I am trying to find someone who knows how to do this and would be kind enough to share their knowledge with me. When this ink pad becomes full or cycles so many times the printer completely locks up and you have to reset the waste ink pad counter and you should clean the pad. Makes no sense to take it to a service center and pay 40-50 dollars when a new one with new cartridges is only 99 dollars.
    Thank You,

I was able to locate a parts manual for my 900. The manual contains a good deal of info on the printer. I will see if I can find the one for the 200. If I do I'll send you a copy.

I suspect that one day I will also need a parts manual for the 200. If you find one and there is a link to it please could you post the link.

    Thank you

I would double check with them to make sure it is the correct manual. I have a copy of the Epson 900 if you would like a link to it.

  12. SFAIK, this will be a simple foam pad located directly underneath the head parking area on the right side of the printer. Use care in removing and handling it as after use, this thing gives a new meaning to the word "messy".

Nelson37 is it the white colored pad (when new) and does it just simply lift out without disassembling anything? Thank you for your help.

  14. Not entirely sure, the only ones I have removed were on other models of inkjet and had to be basically scooped out. The mess factor is extreme, and typically by the time this needs replaced you should seriously consider replacing the printer as well.

Newer printers are using a counter rather than measuring actual ink content, so replacement may be more cost-effective.

Thanks for the reply but I am looking for someone with info specific to the R200 printer.

Any R200 owners who may be able to answer my questions I would really appreciate a reply. Thanks again Nelson37 for trying.

  16. Keep me informed golfnut. I fear with the amount of printing I do, I will be in the same boat as you sooner than later.

Be careful with the sites that are selling those manuals. They only carry incomplete ones. If you check out ozmods. They have those manuals for free. They also carry the complete manual for the r300. I'm not sure if you have to register with them. Or have bought a cis system from them to access the files.

They also have a mod showing how to run an external tube from the waste tank to an external waste bottle.

depressd thanks for the tip. I did buy a cis system from ozmods and did find the manuals on their forum but they were no help unfortunately. Thank you again for the tip though.

I have the C82 and just looked at the the R200. There is a little sponge located underneath the parked cariage. It appears to just sit in a tray. I washed mine, but it turns out that something else is wrong with my c82. I have only had it for less than a year and I think it is the vacuum pump that primes and cleans the nozzles. Fisrt one color went bad, then one by one the rest. I have heard that this is a problem with this model. Is it also the case with the R200. I need a new printer.
