Was trying to capture the world series got most of it. I was stopping the capture inbetween innings to try to keep the file sizes down. Most of the files are between 4-6 gigs. Well fell asleep at the end and my final capture was over 25 gig. I was trying to open it in QuickTime to edit out the commercials and quicktime wont' open it. The error I get is "Couldn't open the file "StudioTVR.mov1" because it is not a file that QuickTime understands.
Any suggestions? Thanks macsys.

You could try rendering it in iMovie (which will break it into 2GB pieces). I'm sure others have better suggestions.
By the way, many Formac users prefer the freeware application called Vidi to capture with their Formac box. You can search for it at versiontracker.com. Maybe with it you won't have file format problems. -
Thanks for the tip Frobozz, but I also get a parse error with iMovie. Driving me nuts. Also thanks for the suggestion about Vidi, I wll give it a try, Wayne.

I hope this is right.
In the file name, delete the "1" the ending should only be ".mov" and then the Quicktime icon should be restored. No? Make sure the file association is still to Quicktime. Can VLC play it?
