how to edit resample rate?

I need to join 2 avi movie files together using virtualdub but the resample rates of the 2 files seems abit different..so is there anyway that i can edit the resample rates to the same rate? thanks.

open the avi that you should resample
select audio->full processing
select audio->conversion and select the new rate
select audio->compression and use the same compression as in the first video(wav/mp3...)
select video->direct stream copy
save the new avi

then join the two avis.
