  1. Hi ,

This is a followup to my tmpgenc post before.

I need to tape an MPEG-2 clip (copied VOB - renamed and cut)
and make several mpeg (and wmv) copies of it. In each copy I want to change the
    size of picture
    frame rate
    KB/s rate
    etc.

I am looking for a sweet spot where I can get the file size small but still satisfactory for a particular video device I am using.

I expect I will end up with mpeg1 with some parameter - but I need to make several tests - what tool would you recommend for this - a batch mode to set them all up and let them run would be great.

Also for these tools do I need to also compare various encoders against each other will I get drastically different results with the same params using diff tool?

For some reason with my version of mainconcept I seem to be losing a lots of frames so I may not want to use it.

In addtion I wnat to try out wmv too - besdies the MS vidoe encoder tool .. sohuld I try anything else?

    Thanks
    Allen

    Thanks
    Allen

  2. Do you want to rerender? If not, you could try restream, rempeg, DVD Patcher, or Rejig. Any of those will let you import mpeg and output mpegs with different settings.
