    Hi Guys,

When ever I convert a Video File to MPEG 1 or MPEG 2 and load it into Ulead DVD Movie Factory or even TMPG DVD AUTHOR (Or any of the other few I have tried). I can preview the DVD I am about to create with sound playing and everything working fine. But after I encode to VOB and then play the created DVD I have no Audio!!! I have tried to fix this problem by installing some codec packs but I still get this same problem . It only started after I reformated my Computer. Does any one know what I can try?

    Thanks in Advance!!!!!

No audio on your computer? or standalone dvd player?

When you play dvds on your computer don't just play the vobs, use a real software dvd player like powerdvd, windvd and open the video_Ts folder or the video_ts.ifo.

If you play on your standalone dvd player you might have to change the dvd players audio settings to output pcm audio if the audio is mpeg1 layer 2 audio.

    Thanks for the speedy reply.

I get no Audio on either MY PC or my Standalone player. I have tried this on various Standalones I have even tried playing the Encoded Video on other computers but still no Sound. If I encode to VCD and burn to it It will play perfectly with Sound. But when trying to encode to DVD I loose the Audio. It seems its loosing it in the encode. I have tried reinstalling the software but this still does not help.

Many converters have problems with ac3,mp3 vbr audio. What is the audio in the source video? use gspot to identify the audio.
