problem's with dvd playback(pauses at end of DVD)

will didnt know where to post this.. but yes when i burn my DVD and play it on my DVD player, it pauses almost at the end of the movie.. dont know why it does this.... most of my movies i watch never does this.. maybe its the way i codec it.. this is what i did

rip audio from avi to wave, converted it to mp2
used TMPGenc Plus 2.53, all i checnged in the sittings are
1: Motion search=Highest
2: Full Screen(keep aspect ratio)

USUALLY skipping at the END of a disc is caused by mediocre media not being able to being burned to the very end of the disc. I've been wrong before though...it's just a suggestion.

will the size of my movies is only 4.27gb & 4.35, and i have DVD cd that are 4.70gb.. so do u still think it might be the cd??

You are under what I normally put on a DVD....I have DVDShrink set at 4400....just to be on the safe side.

4.7 gig media, is actually 4.38. you're problem sounds like bad media

Yup,
Most of the time if your burning close to max DVD and it does that...
it`s a media foul-up...

Hi All,
I am not technical, but let me give you my 2 cents on how I solved this problem . I had that problem with the movie series "Prime Suspect" ( British TV Series 6 Episodes) "Lord Of The Rings - Two Towers" and "Scarface " In my case it was not the media but my DVD player. I copied the mentioned movies using Memorex, HP 4X and 8X, and Sony, Media. It played well on my PC but not in any of my 2 stand alone players ( Philips DVD782C or my Previously trusted Precision DVD Player ) , until I played it in my trusty Yamakawa DVD238. I hope this help.
