    Whenever I do file>open for a video converter and double click a video the program will just freeze. Do any of you know how to fix it?

    what type of file are you trying to open ?

    im trying to open an AVI file with divx. 5.2.1 codec
    I wonder what you put here...

    and the programs include Windows Media Player 10, Winamp, VirtualDub, VirtualDubMod, and anything that has file>open which supports videos
