hi im wondering how do i convert ex .mpg move to divx. how do i setup the converter program so i get sound to?

quicktime pro should be able to do that, just open the mpeg and go to EXPORT and choose DIVX

you can also use the all powerful ffmpegx to do what you want

what is wrong when im using quicktime pro when im exporting and when im runing the move i haw made i dount get eney sound

sometimes that happens, just demux your .mpeg and then combine the audio with your converted .avi file

i haw traid to convert move whit ffmpegX but somting is olways wrong my player is saing cant play this file probebley somting to do whit the setings whit ffmpegX. but whn im using HandBrake it works grate but HandBrake can onley do dvd to avi i wanto haw mpeg to avi or avi to avi but whit sheng sais so i can whots it on my player

well you could always convert it to dvd then to avi

look to the tutorial list [sticky] in the main forum, you will see how to do lots of conversions

for your quest, i would open .mpeg in quicktime, export to .avi
then take teh original .mpeg drag/drop onto bbdemux to get the audio file out of it, open the audio file in quicktime.

next i would mux the .avi and the audio from the mpeg using ffmpegx's mux option under tools tab
